The General Outpatient Department is a welcoming center with qualified and very experienced staff to offer specialized treatment. All our patients go through this department before they are ushered into any other department accordingly. The department operates from Monday to Sunday, on a 24 hour basis. Patients who are critically ill and require admission to hospital are always admitted to our clean and full-time in-patient wards.
We also run a psychiatric clinic where we carry out assessment of patients identified for psychiatric reviews from Out- patients Department and the Wards whereby they receive Psychotherapy and Psycho education, Clinical management of the diagnosed mental and psychosocial disorders including admission of acute cased on the ward for close monitoring, Conducting sensitization and community awareness programs, Conducting continued medical education services for the in-service medical staff, Follow up and psychosocial rehabilitative services for patients who have improved on medication. This has been made possible with support from Jamie’s Fund with whom we partner.
We now conduct community outreach sessions and mental health sensitization for the benefit of the general public in and out of the hospital. We started with places of worship like churches and mosques.
